Many homes along the Space Coast built before the mid-1970s were plumbed with cast iron drain lines. Over decades, cast iron corrodes from the inside, scales up, cracks and can eventually channel along the bottom of the pipe.
Sal has replaced cast iron in homes across Brevard County. Depending on what an inspection shows, replacement may be a single damaged section or a larger portion of the drain system, done with modern PVC.
